The weather was bad. Rain
(even HAIL!) all day long. Grey skies, wet streets, no cute pix of the kids by our spring flowers. Mad dashes into the church made more difficult by the fact that Avé was convinced she was wearing rain boots
(why wasn't she??? her parents totally should have thought of that) and jumped into several puddles in the church parking lot. Church full of slippery floors and dripping umbrellas. But nothing, NOTHING could put a damper on this day for me.
You see, both my sons were baptized this morning.
Easter Morning. It was wonderful.
So wonderful that I really don't even have words to describe it.
So I won't even try.
My heart is full. So very full. And I'm so grateful.
Life isn't easy. But it's beautiful.

And they were baptized by Uncle Gyle. Even more special. |

And her hair just looked like a little Easter Nest of love. ;-) |

This post brings an entire new meaning to "bring on the rain!" Too precious.
Absolutely wonderful. Love you, my friend. My heart overflows with joy for you. All of you.
Awesome! They are all precious! What a special Easter!
Hello, we are a spanish family. Our son, Masamo (means Blessed), was born also in Ethiopia; guess where: in Luta Bongodo, Sidama!!! We were searching information about his birth place and found your wonderful blog.
We adopted Masamo in July 2009. Now he is 4 years old.
If you want to share experiences or information with us, please contact izko@hotmail.com, our e-mail address. We'll be delighted.
God bless you!
Gayla, life is certainly beautifully difficult. Love hearing your stuff, woman.
